Siddur Tefilos Yisroel. Munich 1827.
Prayers for the entire year according to the Western Ashkenazi customs, with additions according to the Polish rites. Edited for publication by Dr. Alexander Behr, who added an introduction.
Published with the encouragement of R. Avrohom Bing, Av Beis Din of Wurzburg. Includes an intricate illustrated title page and two additional title pages in Hebrew and German. The siddur is printed with the German translation facing the Hebrew text. This siddur is of particular importance, being an accurate and Orthodox German Nussach and translation, printed at the height of the Reform movement in Germany which was wreaking havoc on Jewish tradition in general and on “Nussach Ha’Tefilo” in particular.
Vinograd Munich 2. (The second sefer printed in Munich). Tzirndorf press. [28], 516 pages. 19 cm. Fine condition. Some wear. Antique binding (reinforced spine).
