A rare photograph of Emil Zola in his youth - an interesting caption on the back of the photograph

A rare photograph of Emil Zola in his youth. Zola [1840-1902] - the great warrior to prove the innocence of the French Jewish officer in a series of articles published in the French press, And above all the famous "J'accuse" - 'I blame'. On the back of the photo is a line in Zola's handwriting [?]

On the back of the photo is handwritten: "Je joins la Fécondité" - "I attach Fécondité". At the beginning of Zola's career he became famous thanks to several stories and novels that were liked by the French audience (Zola testified on himself that he did not go through a day without writing a part in any story at that time). One of the novels Zola published in his younger days as a writer was called "Fécondité" and dealt with the character of the French population, and it is possible that Zola himself wrote the above sentence by attaching his picture to a book he wrote and devoting to someone. This hypothesis is strengthened in light of the comparison of the manuscript in which the above sentence was written which is identical to the manuscript of Zola in the period.

Size: 11x7 cm. Very good condition.
