An important letter by Rabbi Isaac Breuer stating the principles of 'Union of Communities'

Letter in the handwriting of Rabbi Dr. Yitzchak Breuer in which he sets out the principles of the process of 'unification of the Jewish communities', both towards the authorities and towards the Jewish community internally. The title of the document is: "Definition", and in the various sections Rabbi Breuer defines what 'organization' is and what 'necessity organization' is, and the details related to it.

Rabbi Dr. Yitzchak Breuer [1883-1946] was a thinker, writer and public activist, one of the founders of Agudat Israel, who strongly opposed Zionism, and presented a line of thought that emphasized the fact that the people of Israel "people of the Torah" different from any other nation. He studied at the Kahal Adat Yeshurun school in Frankfurt, which was founded by his grandfather, and later at a yeshiva founded by his father in Frankfurt, where he was ordained a rabbi. At the same time as continuing his yeshiva studies, Rabbi Breuer began academic studies at various universities. Rabbi Breuer studied law, and dealt mainly with the philosophical side of the profession. He qualified as a lawyer and doctor of law, and from 1913 engaged in the profession in Frankfurt, until his immigration to Eretz Israel in 1936.
