FRANZ VON PAPEN
(1879-1969) Chancellor of Germany and Vice Chancellor in Hitler's early years of power, von Papen was accused and later acquitted of war crimes. Good content A.LS. on the verso of a postcard picturing his home, Baden, Oct. 10, 1964, in English. In part: '...many thanks...for the newly mintedy Kennedy half Dollar! A kind souvenir to this very remarkable President. I hope your negotiations may bring a result best suited for our still Free World...actions [underlined] are better understood by the Kremlin!...' Very good.
