Arieh (Leo) Lubin, Painter. b. 1897, U.S.A. Immigrated to Israel in 1913. Studies: 1915, Chicago; (stopped studying when he joined the Jewish Brigade in World War I); Europe, returning to Israel in 1923. Prizes: 1922 John Quincy Adams Prize for Study Abroad; 1956 Ramat Gan Panorama Prize; 1957 Olympic Committee Prize for Sports Subjects; 1957 Dizengoff Prize. 1978 Made Worthy of Tel Aviv. Selected Exhibitions: 1948, 1950, 1960 Venice Biennale; 1953, 1958 Sao Paulo Biennale; 1954 Lugano. Died 1980 in Tel Aviv.
