A collection of Eretz Israel newspapers reporting on the Holocaust of the Jews in Europe. 1940 -1944

Six rare newspaper issues published in Eretz Israel reporting on the Holocaust of European Jews at the time of its occurrence, in particular on the bitter fate of Polish Jewry. Most of them published during World War II only, and ceased operations at the end of it. Among them are the rare "Speech of Polish Jewry", "The Voice of Polish Jewry", and "The speech of Polish Jewry". Along with current reports based on testimonies constantly received from Jews and various sources, there is a reluctance to believe in the great extent of the extermination, and sometimes the articles try to minimize the magnitude of the tragedy out of an inability to accept the harsh reality at the time it occurred.

Issues appearing dealing with the first months of the establishment of the ghettos, and towards the end of the war:

* Polish Jewry. Tel Aviv, 26 Adar II, 5 April 1940.

* "The speech of Polish Jewry"- The 22nd of Sivan, June 28, 1940 - "The issue is dedicated to the dying and swept Jews of Lodz" Extensive articles about the bitter fate of Lodz Jewry with appalling information about what is happening inside the ghetto.

* Voice of Polish Jewry - The 11th of Nisan, April 19, 1940. 'Please save our children from the Nazi inferno! "Who will save the younger generation of Polish Jewry?"

* Speech of Polish Jewry, Tel Aviv, 16 May 1940, entitled: "Polish Jewry Tortured - and Exists" on the title page A large photograph of "Warsaw Jews being taken to forced labor."

* 'Hatzofeh' from the 13 of Kislev 5745 - November 29, 1944 entitled: 'The German retreat began in the south and on the front of Kiel'.

* Kol Israel, dated July 6, 1944: "The horrific news received from Hungary shocks each and every one of us."

In some newspapers stains.  general condition good - moderate.
