Early 20th Century.
The allegorical portrait of Summer is displayed in an exceptional carved and gilded frame in the quality and manner of Foster Brothers, Boston. The subject, posed with fruit and flowers, appears to be a favorite of the artist, appearing in a number of his compositions.
Canvas measures 30 x 25 with a framed size of 36.5 x 31.5 inches.
