Sefer Chovas HaLevavos - Rare Second Bomberg Edition, Venice 1548.
A complete copy of Sefer Chovas HaLevavos, authored by Rabbeinu Bachya — R. Bachya b. Yosef Ibn Paquda. Second edition, printed by Daniel Bomberg at Venice in 1548. Very rare. This copy contains tens of glosses in oriental Yemenite hand.
In overall good condition. Paper slightly browned with light water stains. Title page partially restored with no loss of text. Open tear is to top corner of pp. 48, with loss of text. Lacking final leaf (pp. 88) with printers’ colophon. Bound in a new ornate leather binding.
