Ohr Pnei Moshe. Mezritch 1810. First Edition. Signature of R. Aaron Moshe of Brod!
Chassidic teachings on the Parshioys and Five Megillos, by R. Moshe Sofer of Pshevorsk, with the signature and stamps R. Aron Moshe of Brod.
With many approbations praising the great holiness of the book and its author including from R. Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev, The Kozhnitzer Maggid, The Apta Rav, R. Mendel of Rimanov and the Bais Ephraim.
R. Moshe of Pshevorsk (1720-1806), was a talmid of the Mezritcher Maggid. Following the passing of the Maggid, he travelled to R. Elimelech of Lizhensk and later to R. Menachem Mendel of Rimanov. According to tradition the Alshich HaKadosh would appear to and learn with him. In addition to being a Rebbe, he was also a Sofer hence the name R. Moshe Sofer. His Parshioys were greatly sought after. Many of the Tzadikim of his time requested that he write Tefillin for them including R. Elimelech of Lizhensk, The Chozeh of Lublin, R. Yitzchok Isaac of Zidichoiv and R. Dovid Lelover. Following his passing, his son-in-law published his Torah.
R. Aharon Moshe M’Geza Tzvi (1775-1845), was a talmid of the Chozeh of Lublin and of R. Uri of Strelisk. He was one of the great Talmidei Chachomim and Mekubalim in Brod. In 1839, he immigrated to Eretz Yisroel and was the founder of the Chasidic community in Yerusholayim. He was highly regarded as a Tzaddik and is buried on Har HaZesim with unusual honorifics written on his Matzeivah “מנוחת איש תם אדומו”ר הרב הצדיק המפורסם בוצינא קדישא מגזע צבי”. His famous Tzava’h was published in Czernowitz in 1857.
With signature and stamps R. Aron Moshe of Brod.
