AN INDIAN HAND-FORGED ENGRAVED AXE, 19TH CEN.
Very rare 19th-century Indian axe. Made entirely from wrought iron. The head, decorated with engraving, is mounted on a faceted shaft. An amazing crescent-shaped blade with curved edges inside which is a circle. The long steel shaft with bands at intervals with a large Khanda sword hilt. The upper part of the shaft ends with a long faceted spike. A wonderful-looking Indian weapon.
Dimensions: L: 49 3/16 in., (125 cm.)
Condition: Very good, grip is slightly rusted.
