A Sevres Porcelain Soup Tureen, France, 19th Century
An oval porcelain charger, flanked by two handles with gilt rims. Decorated with two cartouches depicting exotic birds and bordered by gilt rocaille, all on a dark green ground. Surmounting the charger is a similarly decorated tureen flanked by two, gilt handles and topped by a domed lid, also decorated with drawings of exotic birds and centered by a gilt handle. Fully marked (on the underside). Drawings signed: Jules Tieles, Paris.
