Shaar Hatefillah with Pamphlet on Importance of Reciting ‘L’shem Yichud’. First Edition. Sedlikov, 1825

Esoteric explanations about the power of prayer according to kabbalah by Harav Chaim of Czernowitz, author of Be’er Mayim Chaim and Sidduro Shel Shabbos.

The sefer begins with a long essay disputing the Noda B’Yehuda who opposed the recitation of ‘L’shem Yichud.’

Shaar Hatefillah was written after Harav Chaim of Czernowitz relocated to Eretz Yisrael where he soared in Torah learning. He said, “I am certain that when this composition spreads throughout the world it will bring the Redemption closer.” (See his disciple’s introduction.)

Owners’ stamps of “Nachum Ben Harav Mordechai Twerski”. As well as autographs and writings from Harav Pinchas Weberman, disciple of Harav Aharon Roth, author of Shomrei Emunim and his son the Admor of Toldos Aharon. One of Rav Weberman’s writings note the teachings from this sefer that the Admor of Shomrei Emunim delivered at the gravesite of the Be’er Mayim Chaim in Tzefas.

Sedlikov, 1825. First edition. “מאהלוב” appears on the title page, but דרוקט אין סדילקאב is clearly written in small letters. 10, 102, 113-115 Leaves. Page size: 21 cm. Blue tinged paper, stains and minor damage. Good condition. Antique leather binding with owner’s name embossed on top. Fabric glue on back of binding.
