The International Jew - Antisemitic publication according to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion - German edition. Leipzig 1922 - Part Two

Der Internationale Jude - The International Jew by Henry Ford - An antisemitic publication based on The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, published by Hammer, Leipzig 1922 - Early German edition - Part Two which was published several months after Part One "due to demand in Germany".

"The International Jew" first appeared as a series of four antisemitic booklets written by Ernst Leibold, William J. Cameron and Boris Brasol. The series was a collection of articles under the full title: "The International Jew: The World's Foremost Problem" that appeared in Henry Ford's "Dearborn Independent" newspaper during 1920. The antisemitic articles alleged a worldwide Jewish conspiracy and intentional attempt at domination by Jewish leaders, relying primarily on "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion", which were widely circulated at the time. The series enjoyed great success in the United States and Europe. Half a Million copies were distributed in the United States alone. The series was translated into most European languages including German, Russian and Spanish. In Germany, the series was most popular and become a guiding principle of the antisemitic movement. The German publisher Theodor Fritsch printed between 1920-1922 six editions of the series, and by 1933 printed 29 editions.

Adolf Hitler used the shortened version of the series as part of his propaganda campaign against Jews. In 1923 it was reported that Hitler "distributes Ford's books in shipments filling entire wagons". When Hitler learned that Ford might run for U.S. President, he told an American journalist: "I wish I could help him... We recently translated the articles he wrote against the Jews into German and published them. Ford's book is circulated in millions of copies throughout Germany". During the Nuremberg trials where he was sentenced as a war criminal, Baldur von Schirach leader of the Hitler Youth in Germany noted that the series 'The International Jew' had profound impact on him and his friends in their youth and contributed to him becoming antisemitic.

In the venomous introduction the publisher writes that Part Two was well received in Germany, and due to high demand it could be printed already months after Part One. He adds this part deals with Jewish influence in the United States, and the reader should deduce from their behavior in the U.S. their behavior in Germany, since the greed of the Jew and the control that knows no bounds is a universal phenomenon. "We present the book hoping it will generate moral and national energy in Germany as the original did in the United States".
