Hanukkah lamp - Ben Gurion. Design: Arie Ofir
Metallic Hanukkah lamp designed by Arie Ofir [engraved signed] - the figure of Ben-Gurion against the background of the Hebrew University of Be'er Sheva (the university named after him: "Ben-Gurion University"), with an engraved quote from Ben-Gurion's own words: "Tel Aviv 7.24.1965, "Dear Tuviahu, We are very happy for your letter in which you announce in a great and important annunciation the beginning of your Hebrew University in Be'er Sheva. Yours sincerely, David Ben-Gurion." On the back of the Menora is a engraved dedication on behalf of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev to Esther Gron dated: Hanukkah 1999. One of the rare works of the 'New Bezalel' artist, the designer Aryeh Ofir.
