Official Invitation by the "Habonim" Movement to the Bnei Yisrael Community Sports Event India, December 1945
HABONIM INDIA - Invitation by the Jewish "Habonim" Association of India to the Bnei Yisrael community for the annual sporting event. December 1945.
At the top, the Habonim emblem of India, The letter "ב" with the Hebrew caption "Habonim", palm tree, map of the Land of Israel, and Star of David. And the caption:"The Habonim officers' council, cordially invites you on the occasion of the annual sports to be held at the Western india football Association Ground, cooperage on sunday 30th december 1945 at 2 p.m." And a line that reports that Mr. S. Ezra is the Ba Koach (commissioner) of the Movement.
Almost from the beginning of the 19th century, following the influence of the British, which was quite dominant among members of the India Jewish community, which concentrated mainly in Mumbai, joined the Habonim organization and reached the highest levels. Many Jews whose origins in India communities have spread to the organization's offices in India, Israel, Canada, the United States, and in almost every country in which they settled, there was an existing bureau.
