ברית השבת היה הגוף המרכז את פעילויות אגודות וסניפי 'משמרת השבת' ברחבי ארץ ישראל, שנוסדו בראשית תקופת המנדט. הוא פעל החל משנת תש"ב, ועד לשנים הראשונות שאחר קום המדינה. 'ברית השבת' תרמה רבות לביצור מעמדה של השבת בפרהסיה הישראלית.
