Dikdukei Rash"i. Riva, diTrino, 1560. Only Edition

Dikdukei Rash"i. Elucidation of Rash"i's commentary on the Torah. Riva diTrino, 1560. Only edition.

Owner's notations on the title page and period dedications.

Uncommon book written anonymously. Some bibliographers wrote that it is an abridged version of Mizrachi on Rash"i, and there are those who say this is mistaken, the book is an elucidation on Rash"i's particularities on the Torah. Before us is an elucidation of Rash"i's commentary on the Torah. There are those who conjecture that the author is Yaakov of Riccia, the doctor who printed the book, who was a scholar. And there are those who conjecture that the author is Rabbi Yosef Uttling, rosh yeshivah of Cremona, who is mentioned in the introduction. A recent conjecture arose that the author is Rabbi Eliyahu HaLevi Ashkenazi - Rabbi Eliyahu Bachur.

48 leaves, 17 cm. Moderate-fine condition. Aging stains, title page and last page reinforced with pasted paper. Simple binding.
