A Collection of Books from Jerusalem Printing Presses - Authors' Signatures and Dedications
Four books from the Jerusalem printing presses 1891-1913, dedications and signatures of authors.
* Patach Eliyahu part one. Homilies on various topics: ma'alat nedarim, kindness, charity, printing, suffering, repentance, eulogy, righteous man, childlessness, burial in the Land of Israel and more. Jerusalem, 1896. First edition. With approbations from the leading Rabbis of Great Britain, and an approbation from Rabbi Rafael Ibn Zur. On the page after the title page is a signed dedication in the handwriting of the author to Rabbi Moshe Motziano. Rabbi Eliyahu Yaluz (1860-1929), Av Beit Din of Tiberius and one of its renowned sages. Born in Morocco, immigrated to Tiberius with his father in 1874, appointed as a member of the Beit Din, and several years later as Av Beit Din. Wrote many books, some of his works were also published in the responsa "Yesh M'Ayin". [4], 32, 35-139 leaves.
* Succat Shalom on tractate Baba Kama by Rabbi Shalom Mizrachi Adani, Jerusalem, 1891, Zichron Shlomo printing press. On the page after the title page is a signed dedication in the handwriting of the author Rabbi Shalom Mizrachi Adani and his personal stamp. Reinforced cardboard binding, without a spine.
* Mikveh Mayim part two. Homilies delivered on festivals and at various ceremonies in Jerusalem, by the Kabbalist Rabbi Aharon Azriel, author of the responsa Kfi Aharon and Rosh Yeshiva of the Beit El yeshiva of Kabbalists, Jerusalem, 1912 - first edition. Printing press of Azriel, the author's grandson. Dedication on the first page, apparently from his grandson. [2] 125 leaves.
* Sefer Ezra. Homiletics by Rabbi Ezra HaCohen Traub, Jerusalem 1913, printing press of Levi and partners. Ownership inscription on the title page - possibly in the author's handwriting. Without a binding [completed with paper cover].
