Seder Plate. Ornate Porcelain. France, Early 20th Century
Large seder plate made of porcelain, colorfully decorated with motifs from the haggadah and seder plate simanim. France, early 20th century.
Illustrations of slave labor in Egypt and of the exodus, with inscriptions "Chag HaMatzot" and "Zman Cheruteinu" in black, brown, orange, green and blue. The simanim of the seder plate are arranged in accordance with the Ar"i's opinion. Instead of maror and chazaret, maror appears twice.
Diameter: 31 cm. Margin height: 3 cm. Manufacturer's stamp on the bottom.
Fine condition. Several small blemishes on the lip of the plate. Minimal abrasions.
