Imrei Shefer - Chikekei Even, Published by R' Elyakum Karmoli. Glosses - Written by Karmoli?
Sefer Imrei Shefer - Kabbalah about songwriting, by Rabbi Avshalom Mizrachi, published by Rabbi Elyakim Karmoli. On the title page: "Paris" but actually Rödelheim, c. 1861. Rare first edition. Leaves 34 and 37 bear handwritten glosses, apparently by the publisher.
Later on in the volume is Chikekei Even, with its own special title page - a list of tombstones and the songs written on them for rabbis and prominent personalities. These include: Rabbi Hai Gaon, the Ri"f, Rabbi Yehudah HaLevi, the Ramba"m, Mahara"m MiRottenburg and others.
Several years later, the scholar A. Neuberger published a new edition of the book, with changes.
