Mishmeret Itamar. Warsaw, 1870. First Edition. Special Approbation. Signatures
Mishmeret Itamar - Chassidut on the weekly Torah portions, by the "Saraf" Rabbi Itamar of Końskowola. Warsaw, 1870. With the unusual approbation by the 'Shoel U'Meishiv.' Owner's signatures: David HaLevi Horowitz of Ostrovtza [?] and other signatures.
Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of the author, Rabbi Itamar of Końskowola.
Rabbi Yosef Shaul Nathansohn wrote the approbation on chol hamoed. He wrote in it: "Although I have not been accustomed to write during these days, as it is chol hamoed, due to his desire to print it right after yom tov, I said, we do not delay mitzvahs." The Admo"r, the author of Shefa Chaim of Sanz, commented that this is astonishing, as Rabbi Yosef Shaul was not among the Chassidim, yet he gave this approbation to a Chassidic work on chol hamoed!
[3] 161 leaf, 23.5 cm. Stefansky, Chassidut 365.
