Glosses in the Hand of Rabbi Yaakov Abadi on "Chemdat Yamim"
Chemdat Yamim, section two. Kabalistic work by an unknown author, published by Rabbi Yisrael Yaakov Algazi. Izmir, 1731. First edition.
Section for Rosh Chodesh and Mikraei Kodesh. [1], 130 leaves, 20 cm. Missing the first [3] leaves. The first leaf bears the signature of רבי יעקב בכמוהר"א עבאדי – Rabbi Yaakov Abadi – with a number of his glosses. One is signed יעקב ס"ט. This apparently is the signature of Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Abadi, Aleppo sage who immigrated to Tiberias at the end of his life and served as dayan in the beit din of Rabbi Chaim Nissim Abulafia. He gave an approbation to the "Emet L'Yaakov" work of kabalist Rabbi Yaakov Shaltiel Nino. He passed away in 1849. His signature is followed by that of Rabbi Shimon Abadi, another Aleppo sage who immigrated to Tiberias. Refer to "Sefer Tiveria", p. 308.
New binding. Stains. Fine condition.
