Letter from Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Tukachinsky, Av Beit Din of Piontnitza. Rare.

Emotional letter from the gaon Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Tukachinsky, rabbi of Piontnitza, Poland, and towards the end of his life, rabbi of the Mekor Baruch neighborhood of Jerusalem. To the chief rabbinate's Va'ad HaShechitah. Jerusalem, 1930?

In his emotional letter, he pleads for financial assistance to support his family, as he is about to marry off his eldest daughter, and his economic situation is awful. He is requesting a meager salary from the Va'ad. He describes his miserable situation with harsh words: "I had the strength to tolerate it until today ... 'They will say oy, where is grain and wine' has been fulfilled in me ... my ability to tolerate it has been broken."

Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Tukachinsky.
