Shu"t Keren L'Dovid with a Gloss in the Hand of Rabbi Shmuel Gross of Kroli, Son-in-Law of Rabbi Yeshaya of Kerestir
Shu"t Keren L'Dovid. Responsa on Orach Chaim by Rabbi Eliezer Dovid Greenwald av"d Satmar. [1929].
[4], 180, [13] leaves. 29 cm. Stamp of the Rabbi Shmuel Gross av"d Berbesti in a number of locations. Leaf 41,b bears a handwritten gloss – apparently from him.
Rabbi Shmuel Gross was a prominent Rosh Yeshiva in Hungary before the Holocaust. He was the son-in-law of renowned Rabbi Yeshaya Kerestir, and he was supported by him for many years.
Rabbi Shmuel served in the Berbesti rabbinate, and succeeded Admor Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum in Kroli when the Admor moved to Satmar.
The front cover and a number of following leaves are detached. Fine condition.
