Rabbi Eliyahu Landa (1873-1946), was the fourth generation to the Vilna Gaon and born in Jerusalem to Rabbi Elazar of Slonim (1818-1874). Orphaned in childhood, he studied at Etz HaHayim Yeshiva under Rabbi Moshe Nehemia Kahanov, Rabbi Eliezer Dan Ralba”g, Rabbi Zalman Bahara”n, and Rabbi Yosef Hayim Zonnenfeld. He established Torah and public institutions and also published tens of books, including the writings of HaGr"a of Vilna, and was an initiator of Jewish publications of the books of the Bible; prior to him all biblical books were published by church printers. Because of his business, he emigrated to the United States where he established “Beit HaMidrash Eliyahu” in the name of the Gr”a, but he later returned to Israel. He built the “Gr”a Synagogue” on 42 HaYarkon street in Tel Aviv (which continues to function to this day).
The manuscript is not complete - it begins with Joshua, Chap. 3, and ends in Kings II, Chap. 28 (the final chapter). It has tiny moth marks, light tears, mostly in the margins, with minor damage to the text on some pages. Fine condition.
