The author's signature appears on the title page: Yehuda Zelki, av beit din of Stanislav, along with other signatures.
The author Rabbi Yehudah Zelka b"r Yechiel Michel [1740-1818] was the av beit din of Stanislav from 1770 until he was let go in 1784, whereupon he moved to Lvov (Encyclopedia L'Chachmei Galicia III, 189).
