The large selection of Danish and mid-century modern funiture includes Norman Cherner for Plycraft Pretzel chairs, Danish modern furniture by Arne Vodder for Sibast and Knoll Bertoia chairs, as a well as an Uno & Osten Kristiansson chandelier. A large selection of artwork features pieces by Andy Warhol and Robert Indiana, as well as a collection of vintage Polish movie posters, etchings and Israeli art. Pair Norman Cherner for Plycraft Pretzel Armchairs
Norman Cherner (New York, NY, 1920-1987). Pair of "pretzel" armchairs designed for Plycraft. Lawrence, MA, circa 1960s. Mid Century Modern lacquered armchairs in sculptural form. Plycraft sticker label with fictitious attribution to designer "Bernado" on undersides of both chairs. Label of one chair is partially present with losses. Losses to lacquer throughout arms, legs, and edges of splat throughout both chairs. Scuffs, marks , and wear throughout wood on both chairs.
26" W x 23" D x 31 5/8" H. Seat height 18 1/4" H. Arm height 26 1/4" H. 16 lbs total.
