Leaflet from the period of the plebiscite in Upper Silesia in 1921. Double-sided. Bilingual. Format 32 x 24 cm. Original print. Leaflet addressed to Silesians. It calls for peace and cessation of preparations for another anti-German uprising. Plebiscite in Upper Silesia (German: Volksabstimmung in Oberschlesien) - one of two plebiscites concerning the ethnic Polish-German borderland, which was established in 1919 in the Versailles peace treaty ending World War I. The plebiscite was held on March 20, 1921 and was preceded by two uprisings of the population of Upper Silesia demanding the region to join Poland.
