Gedolei Tzion, sections 5-8, with many handwritten supplements and comments by the author, Rav Michel Dayan

Chakirus and pilpulim in halachah by Rav Yechiel Michel Zev Horowitz, known as Rav Michel Dayan.

The author wrote many comments and supplements on the pages of these three sections. In a number of places, he writes "I saw again, " or "A wise person showed me again, " and the like.

Rav Michel Dayan (1862-1941) was a Yerushalayim gaon and tzaddik, who served as dayan and moreh tzedek in Yaffo for about ten years, the loyal assistant of Rav Naftali Hertz HaLevi, and then as rav in the Knesses Yisrael neighborhood. He authored the Gedolei Tzion. He was too poor to print his book at once, so he printed it section-by-section, in ten booklets.
