Gift of Rav Alexander Sender Weiss to the Admor Rav Nachman Kahana of Spinka.

Sefer Imros Tehoros, given as a gift from Rav Alexander Sender Weiss to the Admor Rav Nachman Kahana of Spinka.

On the title page of this sefer, the Admor wrote: "I received it as a mishloach manos, my teacher Rav Alexander Sender Weiss in 5684...the small one, Nachman Kahana."

The Admor had a large well-known library, in which he would stamp all his sefarim with his well-known stamp. Sefarim with his stamp are common, but sefarim with his hand signature are not common at all. On this sefer's title page is the Admor's hand-signature!

Rav Alexander Sender was the author of the renowned sefer 'Peer Yosef'- on the Imrey Yosef Admor. He was an important talmid chacham, and seemingly was also the shamas there.
The Admor Rav Nachman Kahana of Spinka (5665-5737) the great-grandson of the Imrey Yosef, he was a giant in Torah and served in the Karlsburg Rabbinate. He survived the holocaust in Klausenburg and in 5710 made aliya to Eretz Yisrael. He served as Rav in Masmia and in 5716 he moved to Bnei Brak and established a glorious chassidic court. (Encyclopedia Lachassidus Page 461).

Sefer Imros Tehoros by the Rama with Yad Yehuda commentary, Russia-Poland edition. With moth-holes, unbound.
