Letter from Rav Boruch of Medzhybizh to Rav Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk. Exact Copy.
Rav Boruch of Medzhybizh's famous letter to Rav Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk.
In his letter, Rav Baruch writes that he agrees to accept the chassidic leadership upon himself, albeit with displeasure, but as per Rav Menachem Mendel's request.
Later on, he writes that he is sending a silver spoon and fork, a silver tzeddaka box (pushka) and a parochet to Rav Menachem Mendel's Beis Midrash in Tiberias.
The letter was printed in sefer "Botzina Dinehora" and in sefer "Yesod Hamaala" volume 2, page 19, with various changes.
In this letter, there are quite a few differences in the wording of the honorary titles and in the body of the letter- it seems that this version is more accurate.
