Man Ray's Photographies - Work with 104 Photographs
This publication with numerous photographs and artistic illustration is of Man Ray's Photographies 1920-1934 Paris. This is a second edition of the work published in 1934 in Hartford, Connecticut & New York. The text is in English in French, with text from Andre Breton, Paul Eluard, Rrose Selavy (Marcel Duchamp), and Tristan Tzara. The work is presented in original color pictioral wrappers in ring-binder. The work is profusely illustrated with 104 photographs by Man Ray. It features a portrait of Picasso, .

Man Ray (1890-1976) was born as Emmanuel Radnitzky and was an American visual artist, contributing to the Dada and Surrealist movements. He worked mostly in Paris and produced in several forms of media, but became best known for his photographs. “I have finally freed myself from the sticky medium of paint, and am working directly with light itself.” (Conversion to Modernism: The Early Work of Man Ray 2003)

The work is in very good to excellent condition overall. The covers are rubbed and creased. The ring binder is defective at foot. There is some marginal soiling. There is some creasing or small tears to the edges from age and handling. There may be a few minor imperfections or faint marks to be expected with age. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
