Jackson's The Florist's Manual - Volume with 6 Originally Hand-colored Aquatint Engravings
This volume with 6 hand-colored aquatint engravings is Maria Elizabeth Jackson's The Florist's Manual; or, hints for the construction of a gay flower-garden: with directions for preventing the depredations of insects. With observations on the treatment and growth of bulbous plants, curious facts respecting their management, and directions for the culture of the Guernsey Lily Amaryllis Sarniensis by the authoress of Botanical Dialogues and Sketches of the Physiology of Vegetable Life. This second edition of the work was published in London in 1822 by Henry Colburn and Co. It is bound in later half calf gilt. The work was created for children and in particular Female Education. It was praised by Erasmus Darwin.

The work is in very good to excellent condition overall. There may be a few minor imperfections or faint marks to be expected with age. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
