20 plates with reproductions of Moritz Oppenheim's paintings, expressing a romantic view of the life of German Jews in the 18th century. Oppenheim (1801-1882) was a German artist who is considered the first Jewish painter of the modern era. Bound in three-quarter leather binding with gilt stripes and gilt lettering on spine. An important and rare book, sold worldwide for over a thousand dollars.
Dutch, 39X29 cm. The spine of the cover is torn and detached (repairable); additional wear to cover` some rust spots on the pages. Other than that in good condition.
