Moshe Tamir (1924-2004) was an Israeli painter who specialized in paintings of soldiers in an expressive style, and later in more decorative themes and techniques. In 1968, three tapestries on the themes of the Temple Menorah, woven according to Tamir's paintings, were hung in the Mishkan of the Presidents of Israel.
