A very beautiful book of Anatoly Kaplan, who was a Russian artist from the Soviet era, and whose works often dealt with his Jewish roots. The book includes his illustrations for "Tevye the Dairyman" and other works by Shalom Aleichem, as well as illustrations for Jewish folk songs, and writings by Mendeli Mocher Sharifim, Y. L. Peretz and more. Includes many color plates with images of excellent lithographic quality.
