Tatspit 1964 - Rare Catalog

Tazpit, exhibition of Israel painters and sculptors.

Tel Aviv Museum of Art, 1964.
A rare catalog of an Israeli art exhibition held at the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion of the Tel Aviv Museum. The artists of the "Tatspit" group opposed a plastic expression built on external impressions, on trade in Jewish consciousness and the use of symbols that had long since lost their meaning and that found echo among broad circles of the public and institutions that are deceived by sentiments and sensation (according to the catalog). Among the artists: Ezra Orion, Pinchas Abramovich, Yitzhak Danziger, Raffi Lavie, Uri Lifshitz, Moshe Kupferman, Buki Schwartz, Yehezkel Streichman, Tumarkin and more. At the end of the catalog there are a number of illustrated advertisements.
Hebrew and English, 40 pages, 22X17 cm. Good general condition. Softcover.

Provenance: Raffi Lavie's estate.
