Sefer Sheris Yosef on leap years and the calculations involved in them, by Rabbi Yosef, the son of Shem Tov, the son of Yeshia Chai.


The first edition was printed by Yosef ben Yitzchok Yaavetz Press in Saloniki in 1568.

Explanations, Luchos Tekufos, and solar/lunar calculations by Rabbi Daniel, the son of Perachia Hakohen; Simanei Haparshiyos in lyrics by Rabbi Shmuel Hakohen, translated to Hebrew by Rabbi Yosef Vizino.

Rabbi Daniel was one of the wise of Saloniki and had esteemed ancestors. He inherited his father's position as Rosh Yeshiva of the Italian Jewish community.

Contains eye-catching pictures and drawings on some pages.

Stamps and signatures:
Includes the stamp of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Shmuel Halevi, one of the chochmei Yerushalayim. He was a Yerushalayim-born tzadik who was a grandson of the Mateh Aharon.He traveled to Greece and led the community there for 5 decades. Before he passed away, he wrote in his will that his children should send all his Seforim to Yerushalayim. He also authored a Sefer on Kabbalah.
The end of the Sefer contains the signature of Rabbi Yosef Duran, who was a Dayan and one of the Chochomim in Algeria.
It is listed as owned in the handwriting and signature of Rabbi Yonah, son of Rabbi Binyomin Duran.

It is a fine copy, preserved in wonderful condition. New and luxurious leather binding. Red page finishing.
