Three Women in Malta,
Oil on cardboard, 70x50 cm.
Signed.
In the 1930s, Marcel Janco, who founded the Dada movement a few years earlier, is a successful and famous artist on an international scale.
Janco was influenced in his work by Picasso's famous cubism, and through diagonal lines, sharp angles and geometric formations, Janco expresses freedom and sensuality, boldness and rebellion to shake the hypocritical bourgeois morality that Christianity tried to distil.
