Medieval Book Clasp with Embracing Figures
12th-14th century AD
A bronze hasp formed as two robed figures embracing, hinge-loop to the lower edge and hooked clasp to the reverse. 21.9 grams, 57mm (2 1/4"). Fine condition. Rare.
