Pierre-Francois South, who added the name "Baron d'Ancerville" (1719-1805) is a French art historian. This publication contains illustrations of sensual pleasures popular in ancient Rome, associated with the cult of Priapus and satyrs. This publication is one of the first in the pornographic literature of pre-revolutionary France. Published as an Appendix to the"Monuments de la Vie privee des Douze Cesars".
