Our new catalog presents a section  dedicated to the estate of Zalman Shoken - the founder of Shoken Publishing, and the owner of the "Haaretz" newspaper, which he purchased at the end of 1935,

and other items from the estate of Prof. Emmanuel Marx - Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology - at Tel Aviv University, recipient of the Israel Prize for Sociology Research for the year 2018 and an honorary member of the British Royal Anthropological Institute.

These items include research books in history and language, travel books, poetry books in special editions and more....

Alongside these are displayed many  items for the history of the people of Israel and Zionism, photographs, letters, works by the best artists and other items.

The letters of Gertrude Bell, two (2) volumes, many photographs, map 1927
Gertrude Bell, the most powerful woman in the British Empire of her time, who shaped the fate of Iraq after the First World War
which is reflected in letters she wrote from Baghdad. In a period full of upheavals and challenges, Belle traveled around the Middle East, crossed deserts on camels, engaged in archaeological excavations, drew regional maps, spoke the language of the various tribes and spent her life in Baghdad.
Bell died on July 12, 1926, aged 58, after taking an overdose of sleeping pills. She was buried in Baghdad and after her death her stepmother published two volumes called "The Letters of Gertrude Bell" which contained 1,600 letters and 16 diaries describing her travels.
