The Gaon Rabbi Binyamin Zev Wolf Boskowitz (1740-1818) was one of the greatest sages of Hungary and Moravia. He was the son of the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Kalin, author of Machatzit HaShekel, who was proud of his son’s wisdom and sharp intellect.
