Fedorov Semen Fedorovich (1867-1910).
Joined the army, where he created amateur artworks. When President of the Academy of Arts Grand Duke Vladimir Aleksandrovich saw his paintings, he gave order to transfer Fedorov to the reserve and instead to admit I.I. Shishkin to the Academy of Arts. Fedorov S.F. wrote sketches at Siverskaya station, in vicinity of Valaamskiy Monastery, in Finland and Nizhniy Novgorod. Saw the Russian-Japanese war where he was badly wounded. Died from the wound consequences in Nizhniy Novgorod. His posthumous exhibition took place at the Autumn Exhibition in St. Petersburg. Pictures created by the artist were several times reproduced in pre-revolutionary press. His works can be found in many museum and private collections all over Russia.
