Title lower left. Signature and date lower right. Certificate of P.M. Tretiakov Independent Research Examination. The funds from the sale of the painting will be used to organise exhibitions of "Splendour of Russian artists from the Vladimir Pešić's collection" in Serbia, Italy and Congo.
Petrov Vladimir Konstantinovich (1880-1935)
Painter. In 1911-1914 he studied at the Tiflis Art School with N. V. Sklifosovsky. The study was interrupted by the First World War. In 1920 he was evacuated to Turkey, ended up in an English refugee camp in Tuzla, then settled in Constantinople. He painted architectural landscapes. He liked to depict the Hagia Sophia and its interiors.
