Kalinin Victor Grigorievich (born in 1946, Altay Region).

Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts. He specializes in mural painting. In 1966, he left an art school in Nizhniy Novgorod, and in 1971 he graduated from the Higher Art and Industry College (formerly Stroganov College). His graduation work was executed under the supervision of G.M. Korzhev. Since 1974, he is a member of the Artists Union of the USSR (presently it is the Artists Union of Russia). He is the author of the mural decoration of the front of the Kosmos Hotel, made stained glass and bas-reliefs for Moscow buildings. Since 1995, he teaches at the Stroganov Moscow Art and Industry University. Since 1966, he participates in exhibitions in Russia and other countries (the USA, France, England, Norway, etc.); he had fifteen one-man shows. The artist’s works are in the permanent exposition in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, in Ludwig Museum in Koln, Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum (New-Jersey, USA), and in over twenty museums in Russia and abroad, as well as in many private collections.
