The Mishnah Berurah that Belonged to the Mashgiach of the Radin Yeshivah, Rabbi Eliyahu Dushnitzer. "Proofread" Written by the Chafetz Chaim. Complete Set

Mishnah Berurah set that belonged to the Chafetz Chaim's primary disciple and mashgiach of his yeshivah, the gaon and tzaddik Rabbi Eliyahu Dushnitzer. Rabbinic leaders expressed the opinion that he was one of the 36 hidden tzaddikim of the generation! (See below.) All of the volumes bear his signature. In some [3] of the volumes there is the notation: "Proofread" handwritten by the Chafetz Chaim.

The gaon and tzaddik Rabbi Eliyahu Dushnitzer [1877-1949] was a tremendous tzaddik. In his youth, he studied at the Radin yeshivah and became a close associate and primary disciple of the Chafetz Chaim. Already in his youth, Rabbi Eliyahu was known as lofty and sacred, and many stories were told about him. He was one of the young men who was summoned by the Chafetz Chaim to extract the infamous dybbuk. After his wedding, he was appointed mashgiach at the Radin and Slobodka yeshivahs, and then at the yeshivah in Lomza. Many rabbinic leaders were considered his disciples, including the gaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, who even edited his book, Nachalat Eliyahu, where he wrote that when the author passed away, the Chazon Ish stated that he had been one of the 36 tzaddikim of the generation.
