SYNAGOGUES IN PRE-WAR HUNGARY
Fine lot of seven rare postcards depicting synagogues in Hungary, a country with a large Jewish population which would be deported to German death camps late in the war. Images include a three-card fold out showing the synagogue in Temesvar (survived); Udvozlet (2, fate unknown); Kecskemet (survived, houses a "technology center"); Szeged (2, survived); and Eisenstadt (survived, along with only 12 Jews in the city). Six of the seven cards have writing (not translated) and were postally used.
