А Dagestan saber with carved bone grip scales, engraved and nielloed silver crossguard and pommel interconnected with a characteristic Kubachi-designed silver chain and filigree work ball. The inscription on the crossguard is inscribed "made Haji, Owned by Gazi Umar. Dated: 1299 Hijri, corresponds to 1883 according to the modern calendar. The carved single0edged fullered blade is probably the work of Haji Omar who was a Kubachi based swordsmith.

Dimensions: L: 33 3/4 in., (86 cm.)

Condition: Blade is in the original shape and has not been re-sharpened, scabbard is missing
