The Franco-British Agreement of 1920, formerly known as the Franco-British Convention, defined the boundaries between the Mandates of Palestine and Mesopotamia - attributed to Great Britain; and the Mandate of Syria and Lebanon - attributed to France. This agreement is considered by Israeli jurists as one of the fundamental documents of international law concerning the eventual borders of the State of Israel.
